British fleet departs Nantasket Roads outside Boston Harbor.
March 27, 1776
After remaining in the Outer Harbor, most of the fleet finally weigh anchor and sail for Halifax. After cannons are installed on one of the Boston Harbor Outer Islands, the last man-of-war departs on June 13, 1776.
